The Brief History Of Interior Design (ID)

There is a lot of evidence to suggest how ID was used as long ago as the ancient Egyptian and Roman eras, and the subject was well established by the time of the Renaissance and, later, the Industrial Revolution.

The Egyptians designed lavishly decorated tombs that were used to provide the deceased with all the comforts of this life as well as preparing for the next. The Romans designed their buildings carefully, with rooms carefully laid out depending on the intended use for each room.
